My employers insurance sucks, where do I go?
illustrator asked:
The company I work for has the worst insurance on the planet. Where can I get cheap, yet good health insurance?

Go to an independent broker that handles health insurance and ask for quotes. Individual policies, however, are usually more expensive that employer group ones.
i recomend Allianz or Prudential Insurance.
Ya want CHEAP, or GOOD? It costs what it costs. If you're 20 and healthy, a low/no deductible plan for just you will cost $200 a month. If you're 30, it will be $300 a month. And you don't get maternity benefits under most private health insurance policies. Family plans cost $1000 to $1200 a month.
NOW how bad is your employer's plan?
If you still want private insurance, just to go a local agent who can get you quotes.
One option that you have is discount health benefits. A lot of times people end up saving more on Rx, Dentist, health care cost in general because you have no co-pay or deductions to meet. And everyone is accepted so if you have any on going problems you are not turned down!
